Rosewood / Bois de Rose
Rosewood is now under CITES control- CITES is a set of regulations to prevent over-exploitation of threatened trees (and animals) and rosewood in all forms has been added to the list. Even though our material was of Indian origin it has still been added and when inventory is depleted we will no longer be stocking rosewood
Ho Wood is a good replacement- it is equally rich in natural linalool (perhaps lacks the intensity of rosewood) but most commercial users have made that switch
The volatile oil obtained by the steam distillation chipped wood of Dalbergia Sissoo.
A warm, spicy, woody note, this oil is popular for its distinct aroma in perfumery & fragrance. Very popular in perfumes and fragrances.
